Overall a thermometer with lots of nice features at a great price. with a small problem. PROS: Nice big easy to read display; The backlight proved to be a useful feature than I expected. CONS: There is no accurate temperature reading, which can be an important feature for some people considering meat thermometers. my other thermometers read 160 degrees Fahrenheit and the Trofoty read 200 degrees Fahrenheit (!) for example, a 6 degree variation. In cooking tests, however, the Trofoty was nowhere near the par of other thermometers I've compared it to. I tried several times to flush the probe as instructed but unfortunately it made no difference. I think I'll use my old and terribly slow but reasonably accurate digital meat thermometer for now. The search for a replacement continues.
