I was skeptical about the product, particularly because of the claimed 1000 lumen light output. I've read a few reviews and even read that someone got one with the back of the box saying its light output is only 600 lumens. Despite my skepticism, I ordered one, it arrived in two days. I knew if I didn't like it or the light output, I could return it. The packaging is very pretty and professional with decent instructions. It's a little confusing to understand how to use the motion sensor. All you have to do is turn on the light and then press and hold the power button for three seconds. It includes a motion sensor and adjusts the brightness based on the ambient light. It switches between high, medium and low light output as required. To take the light out of the automatic motion sensor setting, press and hold the power button for three seconds and it will return to light mode. I'm very happy with the $30 light output and the packaging confirms that the back says 1000 lumens. I have a light meter that measures light output and it has actually confirmed that it is delivering some serious performance. When the two products came into contact, the light output was over 1000 lumens. I have this tool because a while ago I got LED headlights for my car and I needed to see which ones are the brightest for my car. Glad I could use it again. The product will get hot but I'm sure it will cool down as you peddle. The lights can be easily detached and installation was pretty darn easy. I really like that the front and rear lights can be charged via a micro USB cable, no batteries required. Both can be detached from the mounting hardware for charging. When using the front light, you need to press one button to switch between 5 modes. The only thing that confuses me is that I want to firmly press the off button to turn off the light. Instead, you have to go through all the modes to turn it off. But for the money it really is a great product. In the video I am posting with this review, the seat is not included with this order. Only the front and bottom light. The seat was also from Amazon and is a nice upgrade from the bike's original hard flat seat. My ass is grateful.
