ANN Meter Infrared Gun 30:1

*REVIEW AFTER 5 DAYS:*PROSI was looking for an infrared gun with a good range to point ratio as objects cannot get too close. I measure. This model is 30:1 and you probably know that if you are here because 90% of the models on the market are 12:1 which is totally unsuitable for my application. I also wanted a DOUBLE laser. The laser helps the operator show him the measurement area on the object. For a dual IR laser gun with a 30:1 aspect ratio, this price is extremely competitive. This gun also has an LCD backlight as well as a flashlight, which is a very competitive touch. The physical dimensions of the device are quite compact and have decent ergonomics. No complaints. In terms of measurements/software capabilities, the device is quite basic. You can check the maximum, minimum and average temperature and set an alarm when the temperature is above/below a threshold. I only need AVG timings for my application. Units can be Celsius or Frankenstein. The guarantee seems good. Revain's description says "12 months". However, the package does come with a receipt, which the company can exchange for an "extended" 180-day warranty provided you leave a review and send them a screenshot. It would be nice if they made the warranty a bit more precise. Is that 12 months + 180 days? * CONS: The device has a few cons that I don't like. First, there's the incredibly annoying beep that sounds every time the shutter button and button are pressed. This is extremely annoying and quite unprofessional for the device. It would be nice to disable this feature. The main disadvantage of this device is that the measurement mode is not saved after turning off the device! The default mode is MAX. So if you need to constantly measure AVG, you need to press the "MODE" button three times to enter AVG mode before you can take an average reading. This should be saved and not lost after the device is turned off (will turn off automatically after a minute or two of inactivity). 4 stars because of that. The last thing I have is a laser. I like the laser function but wish it was brighter. For bright objects in the sun, forget about using a laser. It's better than nothing, but it doesn't do very well in the sun. If your application is indoors or in the shade, the laser is fine.*BT-METER This is the exact same device that BT-Meter sells. It looks the same in the pictures, maybe with some different features. It would be nice if the company clarified how their product differs from the BT meter in terms of quality. * ACCURACY Appears to be accurate. I don't have a test subject to say for sure, so I have no idea. If you're new to IR temperature measurement, you should also learn about emissivity (e), which is the principle they work on. This device has an adjustable e. See below.*CERTIFICATE: A major improvement to this product would be to provide NIST certification at a premium price. An IR gun with a 30:1 aspect ratio and a lot of features will attract not only hobbyists but also many people in the next tier of the market: field scientists, engineers, students, etc. Being able to verify the accuracy of the device is crucial. for these people. NIST certified OR. a certificate of conformity from the manufacturer would be a big plus. Note: For those who want to test the accuracy, this product can be shipped and tested at most IR temperature measurement labs for around $50.
