Good style, good size, good reputation (G Shock). I wanted to like this watch, but actually I use my watch as a timekeeping tool. As others have said, this watch face is REALLY hard to read. In fact, in a variety of lighting conditions (from low to medium indoors, from medium to bright outdoors) I just can't read the dial. If you can get "STRAIGHT" the right position/angle relative to the light you can read it, but otherwise you'll be stuck with the backlight, which requires coordinated movements with two hands, and you'll only get a quick look. This is not a good "tactical" or "tactically cool" watch. Why make a watch that can only be used as a watch under narrowly defined conditions? Lots of high ratings suggest otherwise, but be aware that this watch isn't that easy to use as a watch. Of course, as a "prop" to show others that you're wearing a watch-like device, it works. I'm sending mine back. What happened to Casio? Used to make some of the most durable watches that have been absolutely useful. Now you read about fogged internal parts (too often) and non-functioning dial designs. Is that progress?
