Review on 💻 Tripp Lite USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB-C Docking Station: HDMI/VGA/DP, Ethernet, Card Reader, USB-C PD Charging by Vincent Lott

I managed to skip the Tripp Lite USB 3.1 return window. I wish I could be more careful with the date. This dock gets so hot I can't comfortably hold my finger on it for more than 5 seconds. This also happens when it is only connected to a laptop. When I connect USB etc it gets even hotter. Some of my USBs were not read when plugged into the docking station, but were read when plugged directly into the laptop. I had a pair that worked with both a docking station and an external USB hard drive. What is annoying is the very short cable. This disrupts my mouse's docking station significantly. I didn't have to use other connections so I can't speak to their reliability. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone based on my experience.
