I used this for a costume party in the 1920's and it worked great. A small clasp held it up over my coat but I wanted to wear it unbuttoned over my dress and it didn't stay up on my shoulders - the fabric was too slippery. I finally pinned it down with hidden safety pins and everything was fine. The color is very pleasing to the eye. I read someone's review that the dark coat is too close to their hair color and I'm glad I went with this silver as it has good variations. After unpacking, it will be fluffed up a bit.
