It doesn't really cool evenly. The motor that causes temperature change is on the back of the unit and that is where it's the coolest. There's also a lot of condensation that causes a little puddle on the bottom - inside. So, if you put a sandwich in there it will get drenched.UPDATE: I took the time to find my original review once more to add that the company made a HUGE effort to rectify the situation. On their own - without any contact from me - they reached out and offered a replacement or refund without needing to ship back the original item. Afterwards, they reached out AGAIN to ensure the solution was satisfactory. This type of customer service is what sets a company above the rest. Sure, my mini-fridge isn't "perfect," but it works and I am using it as I type this update. I really loved that effort on their part and strongly feel they deserve public praise. So for that: BRAVO.
