Received this camera today and am very excited. I compared it to the Canon PowerShot but I liked this one better because of the flexible screen and functionality. I have just returned from a European cruise on the Viking River and have brought a Nikon 3100 DSL camera and some zoom lenses along with a film camera and a small pocket camera. I wanted a solution with video capabilities, plus a large zoom and smaller size. I played with it all day today and loved it. Got great pictures. I also liked the zoom button, which takes you out of zoom mode for a few seconds so you can straighten the image, and then returns to the previous zoom position you were in. When I used video, the voiceover I did behind the camera wasn't very loud on playback. It might be a setting I need to change, but I haven't figured it out yet. Please note that the included charger connects directly to the camera. I am also ordering a Vivitar wall charger and two extra batteries and will keep them in my camera bag as spares.
