Purchased to communicate on the Allure of the Seas cruise ship. The ship was massive (17 stories) and worked well throughout most of the ship. The biggest problem we had was accidentally changing the channel/frequency mode without realizing we were becoming increasingly disconnected. The family also got a pair and we were all able to communicate very well. On the 6th day of the cruise we figured out the lock button so we always stayed on the same channel together. Highly recommended. Without these radios, we could never have communicated so effectively on such a huge ship! In the cabin and with the person in the main part of the ship we couldn't communicate until we got to the elevator but once we were both in the cabin we were able to communicate. Without him I would not have gone on a cruise.
