I installed this freezer thermometer in a small fridge freezer in my garage. (which is very hot in Florida). The freezer doesn't freeze, so every time I open the freezer, the moisture from the outside getting into the freezer creates more frost. This thermostat allows me to look at the temperature of the freezer without having to open it to make sure everything is fine and the freezer is working as it should. The garage freezer is designed for long-term storage of meat and poultry. So I have no reason to open up often. However, this thermometer has an alarm that lets me know what's going on so I don't throw away spoiled food.
