Well if you don't understand my title let me tell you this I tried the original stick on my dash cam and it fell off the windshield. . Attempt number two was industrial velcro, this velcro held up well all winter, but as soon as summer came the velcro melted right on the windshield. My third try was with a suction cup, in the summer it didn't fall off, but in the winter it started jumping right out the window and wouldn't hold. I ended up getting it because it looked sturdy and reliable. It came with very simple instructions, I attached it to my mirror and put in the right dash cam head and the viola won't fall off anymore! Wrong or cold, it stays. It's very secure and doesn't move so overall I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone trying to find a stable mount for their dash cam.
