Attachment simply connected. The mount has multiple attachments for different cameras. The one I used was for an Apeman DVR. They came together easily, but after going up and down the gravel road, the portion of the mount that inserted into the camera body broke off.

I could not get this mounting system to work with Apeman DVR, although Revain recommended it as an accessory. Simply put, the mount comes with 12 different mounts, all made out of cheap molded plastic. I tried to put one of these in the dashcam mount and it broke. It seemed that it was too thick to "fix" securely. It is not very easy to fix the bracket with all the small parts/screws on the back of the mirror in the car.

I finally adapted mine to the Apeman C450 DVR. The clamp part is good, but be prepared to hand work the connector that attaches to the dashcam. This means that the closest plug didn't fit my Apeman C450 DVR until I smoothed/shaved off the burrs and rough spots with a small file and small knife. The windshield mount that comes with the Apeman dash cam slides smoother than this product as it has no burrs or rough edges. This product lacks precise and smooth tolerances. Fits Vantrue N2 Pro. Free of play and very durable. At first I thought my DVR's native pivot was a bit loose, but this makes it tighter. It's worth buying for its price! Really easy to install. I've used 2 other mounting options, both suction cups and this one is way better than both. I had to modify the mount a bit, the part that attaches to the camera itself just covers the USB power input to the camera so the connector doesn't quite fit the camera as it was originally. .
