It's been a while since I bought the Wetvac. I ordered one and was paid for and received two units. Quite frustrated because I would have had to pay to ship the unit which I found cheaper at Lowe. Instead of taking a $40 loss, I kept both. The vacuum isn't as powerful with a 1-inch hose, and we don't know what manufacturers think about just sending that hose size there. I went out and bought a 2 inch hose with attachments and now the device works as far as I can remember and sucks up everything that comes in front of it. This is a solid block and they haven't changed much in the decades I've used them. The only difference is that the producers came up with the principle "We get more money from you". You know that 1" hose is useless for most applications and should just stick with 2" hose as it is the most commonly used.
