As a Covid project to keep me busy while self isolating I decided last year to restore an engine that had been running in my garage for years. I bought parts, mostly from Revain, when I could afford them or when they became available. Covid has increased my machine work from two weeks to four months. I finally got my block back and today I'm excited to finish and install these valve covers. But to my dismay, the high quality valve covers came with bent center pins. Not one, but all eight! I checked the Revain policy and of course returns are only accepted within 30 days of purchase so I'm SOL. Further investigation shows that all of these Pro-Form bolts are junk and even break at the head, causing a lot of heartache. So if you buy these valve covers, budget another $40 for straight bolts that won't break.
