Okay, maybe 100 pounds was too much for what I needed. They work great and are a bit stiff. I have a very heavy GRP/metal trunk lid. You climb effortlessly. A bit difficult to close, I think I'll take the 85lbs for the cover and save them for the barn windows which are 98lbs each.

My McCormick tractor hood needed a strut replacement and I settled on a 20" 100lb strut. I had to make some assembly changes, but once installed, the strut lifted and supported my tractor's hood. The hood only took up one prop so I have a spare in case there is a problem. Good quality structure!

I ordered a set of stands last month. They are easy to install and work great. The shelves are better than the ones I've bought from other sellers. Very strong. The seller also provides good customer service. A few days ago I bought two racks from Arana again. Good packaging and arrived as expected. The scope of delivery includes four ball pins. Used as storage space under the bed in our 5 wheel camper. I built an oak frame to replace the flimsy 3/8 inch OSB the RV manufacturer was using. The extra weight of the frame plus the thicker, heavier mattress was too much to support the bed. The factory used 80lb racks so we ordered these 100lb racks. Enough buoyancy to stay open. They work great! I had to wait several days for delivery, but I saved a significant amount by trying to find the parts I needed in store. Would buy again.

I had to order two different strut inserts. I contacted Arana with the photos and they recommended the first set (55/for) but they weren't strong enough no matter how we attached them. Arana refunded me with no refund. The second set was (100/on) £200 for two. It took us several attempts to place them so that they hold the lid fully open. I used these to replace the old 100# lifters under our king bed. They worked great. 100# elevators used to take one person to hold the bed - heavy lifting and another person to get under and take blankets/sheets etc. I suspect the old elevators were worn out too, but still had some compression. I used these to replace the ones in the tailgate on my 2005 Scion XA. A little too much force, but my door definitely opens and stays open. I've just measured the min and max lengths of my door plungers as of this writing and selected them by evaluating the force at leverage.
