💪 Enhance Performance with the Proform 141-130 SBC Polished Die Cast Center Bolt Valve Cover Review

Not the perfect fit for my Vortec but I knew when I ordered they look great and are well made, a few mods and would be perfect

I HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE COVERS YET, BUT I SEE THEY WILL LOOK GREAT ON MY 1994 CHEVY SILVERADO 350 ENGINE, and at a good, comparable price!

The packaging says to tighten the valve covers to 6-8 ft lbs. Gm requires 3 ft lb. I didn't even tighten them to 5 ft lbs and they cracked!

Valve covers were of good quality. There are no problems with screws. FelPro cork gaskets used, no leaks. Had to purchase a grommet from a local aftermarket air cleaner fittings/hose parts store. Sent quickly. I recommend this product and the seller.

They may fit GM heads well, but they won't fit heads after they hit the market without a lot of custom cutting and sanding. There should also be tubes inside to limit torque. One would assume that the tall valve covers wouldn't interfere with the roller rocker arms, but the baffles are too wide and have to be split on each side to fit between them. Looking back, I would have chosen something else. It was a lot of work! But once installed, they look beautiful.

As a Covid project to keep me busy while self isolating I decided last year to restore an engine that had been running in my garage for years.
