Hard to beat for the money

So. to make a long story a little shorter. I have a little cabin by a big lake, 95% of the time we're outside and never inside, but when we're inside it's always nice to watch some TV. I have purchased and used a black flat matte antenna for the past two years. I thought it works fine. The stations I'm trying to reach are 30 miles away when the crow flies in three different directions. I had about 16 stops - most were going in and out which made the plot very difficult to follow. So I said what the heck let me try that. This happened 3 days earlier than the earliest forecast. So that was a big plus. I installed it and then ran in to see if anything had changed. I had a small amp that came with another flat antenna and I just used it. After rescanning channels. I only have 4 channels and they are all digital. ! I was angry. Well you get the idea. Somewhere deep inside - all boosters are the same? Right? noooo! So I took the TV off the wall and replaced the old amp with an amp for THIS antenna. and rescanned. WOW - what a shock. I had 16 channels that I could see at times and suddenly it was 38 channels, about 32 of which were crystal clear! So - bottom line, use all the parts and you should be better than another cheap antenna. At the moment I am very satisfied. Very easy to place - MAKE SURE you have a mask or pole, NO pole is supplied!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Upgradable
