As someone involved in Boy Scouts I wanted a decent watch with some navigation features and went for this one. What I've done with this watch: On multiple hikes with an altimeter and compass - Repeatedly swam to the bottom of a 10ft pool - Bodysurfed a 3ft shore break - Tracked heart rate and pedometer while jogging - Tracked barometric pressure, as hurricanes passed nearby- The back of the watch partially resolved by putting it on while still wearing insect repellent (ugly, but it still works) Fun Facts: The size of the watch fits my 7.5 inch wrist I wonder how durable it is given the large hole size - The watch is very light (I consider it a pro) - The battery lasted six weeks from the first charge as a result of the above usage and still doesn't show a low battery indicator - The branded charging cable works but I sh it was USB-C so I wouldn't have to worry about losing it - Buttons protrude and occasional ch be pushed out o - not a big problem, just be aware - Reversed display is difficult to read in low light; Get a display with black text on a white background. The compass is accurate enough for basic navigation, but I wouldn't rely on it to steer a ship or do difficult orienteering. I still haven't figured out how to record runs or calibrate a barometer. I would deduct half a star for readability issues, but otherwise I have no major complaints.
