Non-stick coating rough
The hob is not sanded or leveled before applying the non-stick coating. Consequently, it's not as smooth as most aluminum pans. I assume the tips will wear out even if you use non-metallic cookware as recommended by the manufacturer. The item sent to us had a very rough spot on a porous surface that didn't appear to be fully covered so we sent it back. But we also had an acceptable pan that we only use for baking cornbread. This made removal a breeze after baking.
