This Mind Reader MONRISE-BLK Monitor Riser Metal Laptop Stand weighs a ton and looks very well made. However, I only gave it 3 stars because even when it is "locked" in the desired vertical position with an adjusting screw, it still turns a few degrees in both directions. (I was surprised that the riser is pressurized so that it extends to its maximum extension if you don't reinsert the set screw.) I expected the platform to be rock hard. So when you use this for zoom and try to type on a laptop keyboard the video is hard to follow as it rotates and shakes. However, if you pick up the laptop and use a separate keyboard, this might not be a problem (as long as you're not banging on the table). I received mine used from Revain so it may have been broken and sent back for that reason. It's still better than a stack of books or files.
