I won't lie I bought this collar because of the price. I've got Chi barking non-stop whenever he sees a bird land in the yard, let alone someone walking on the sidewalk. He's so bad he barks at people he sees down the street who aren't near the house. I use the beep feature when I say a firm "NO" so he knows to stop. I've used buzz, which he doesn't like, but haven't used the shock feature yet. I tried it at 1-4 for my husband and I and we both agreed that 4 is too much for us and we could use 2-3 for the dog if needed. So far it only responds well to the beep and the occasional buzz. I would recommend this collar for training combined with verbal commands, praise and treats.
