I bought these pens because of the rave reviews I read on here. I've been writing lettering and calligraphy for 43 years and these are the worst nibs I've ever tried. They don't hold ink at all, they bounce (even when writing), they chew on your paper - whatever, they suck. The only way to get them to work is to use durable paper and very heavy ink. for anything more than worth the money, save by opting for a higher quality but undeniably more expensive set. I have carefully compared them to my (old) pens on the same sheets of paper and with the same ink and am appalled at how useless they are. With relatively decent nibs, you can calligraph and write on almost any paper with almost any ink with great results and save money for really special projects. The pilot's pen, which was also purchased, works very well and even protects recycled paper. Sorry to be blunt, but if you enjoy your writing and calligraphy and don't want to throw away a stack of paper, ink and repetitive efforts, look elsewhere!
