Organic because it doesn't 'lather' like regular soap. but it seems to be effective and has a pleasant smell. I bought this for my parents country cottage where we usually dump "grey water" in the woods after washing dishes. I even used it to wash my hair in the lake. A much better alternative to using dish soap or shampoo in environmentally sensitive areas.
