Walking through Meyer one Friday night, I saw all the little roosters in their pathetic water cups. One little guy was less than an inch in the water and I'd feel like a tool if I left the store without him, so he went into my cart. Now I had this little guy and he didn't have a home to call his own so I went to Revain.com! I found the Aquarius Aq25000 and it was perfect for my new fish friend. Thanks to Revane Prime, his new home was on my doorstep two days later. 2.5 gallons, that was big enough for him. Love the fact that the light changes color or you can leave it the same color. Fishy loves blue. The light was a bit annoying to bang against the lid, but after a few minutes of fiddling, it was done. You would have to pay at least half of the fuel costs for the filter alone. It hangs from it by a tab at the top of the tank and rear suction cups. It also comes with a water drain in case your water friends are having a hard time swimming against the current. The hood doesn't snap, it just hugs the edge of the tank, which is fine, but if you want something that really clamps down, you'll need to find something else or tweak it somehow. You must also remove the hood segments to attach the filter. Sturdy scissors or a vise will suffice. Also, it's not a corner tank, just a tank with corners. It fits perfectly on the counter that separates my kitchen from the common room. I've added live plants and some rocks to form the den and Mr. Betta is enjoying his new home very much. I think I'll add an algae eater so it has a neighbor... a neighbor that doesn't bother it. All in all I can recommend this aquarium. Apart from the fact that the light is a nuisance when installing, I am 100% satisfied with the purchase.
