I purchased this item to be installed on my personal vehicle, which I use to respond to EMS calls. My state does not allow sirens, but does allow horns. I thought this product would be great to get attention as I approach and pass through an intersection. That was my hope.The SoundAlert SAAH75 SASP03 has durable equipment. The speaker is solid and heavy, and easily mountable under the hood. I used a different switch which fit better within my car. The horn amp is also solid, as is the wiring. Why only 3 stars? The horn simply isn't loud enough. My OEM car horn is far louder. It just won't do the job to get attention of other drivers in an emergency. People outside can hear it, but not drivers in other vehicles.
