Review on ๐ŸŒ€ Efficient CVR VP555 12V Electric Vacuum Pump: Powerful Suction for Multiple Applications by Brian Schultz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Altitude issues, vacuum didn't reach 20 inches, possibly a very early failure.

The device has some problems with the altitude change. This is quite a large device and quite noisy. maximum vacuum at 5000 feet. The default maybe only good up to 4000 feet? At 5,000 feet it works all the time. I adjusted the allen screw to loosen the device and added an extra 3/4 turn because I had to cross mountains and then travel from Denver to California. The pump worked continuously at over 8,000 feet. After it got the right vacuum it seemed to run a lot less and the pump noise changed, but it still ran. The pump is also quite noisy. I still hear it loud in the trunk area when I'm not driving. Mufflers don't seem to help. After driving 1500 km, the pump no longer starts. I'll try adjusting the screw again to see if it starts to work, but that's a pretty big design flaw if that's supposed to happen and a very disappointing waste of a very expensive piece of equipment if it doesn't. start walking again. I checked the fuses on the block and they are fine (the fuses in the panel and in the line). The wiring harness in the car is brand new and modern. I went to clarify the situation. I've traveled a lot, so my car didn't attract much attention for the project. Everything worked for me again. The problem was due to a bad connection; However, the pump failed again. This time it appears to be a vacuum switch that failed after 1 year and only 3000 miles. I'll work on it a little more to see if messing around with the adjustment screw helps again, but I'm skeptical. The new vacuum switch is listed on their website for $55 (this is a Canadian company so not sure about shipping etc).
