Very glad I switched from gravel! I've found that my oranda goldfish love sifting and digging in it much more than the gravel that gets momentarily stuck in their mouth and collects waste and food on the bottom. They also reach sinking pellets more easily. This sand looks sharp and is easy to clean with a python. Note: This sand takes about a day to fully set. Don't run the filters until the parts stop floating as they will clog the propellers, especially those hanging off the rear (HOB) filters. It's not the product's fault but my otherwise excellent Aquaclear hob sometimes stalls a year later due to sand particles from the environment (can't wash sponges fully etc.). 100 times better than goldfish gravel!
