My disabled little parrot could not climb, so I bought her this bed at the bottom of the cage for her to sleep at night. She really enjoyed it until she was strong and old enough to climb the ladder/ramp and sit on the bottom of the cage. Note: I bought Natalya at a bargain price during COVID without realizing or making myself aware that she was crippled (over 20 birds waddling on the floor of an open paddock). It looks like her leg is articulated in the wrong place. (maybe the mother in the chicken sat on her leg and broke it) or maybe a genetic defect, both paws/claws are deformed too. She was just weaned when I got her so she couldn't sit up (which I was assured she would when she was older) and I wasn't informed enough to know that her leg and feet were deformed and that makes it very difficult for you. to grab a perch, not to mention climb the bars of the cage. I have a series of stairs and ramps for her to hobble around to join her friends. Please check your prospective birds carefully before purchasing as I have learned the lesson that some supposedly well publicized bird owners are dishonest even after they have given you written assurances that their birds are healthy. The stated seller refused to exchange this bird literally the same day even though certain rights of the buyer were stipulated in the contract and my rights were definitely not respected. LAUGH OUT LOUD! However, she is a sweet girl and it is nice to see her develop but sad to see how she struggles with simple tasks. I love her and am embarrassed to think that if I hadn't bought her she might have been put to sleep.
