I admit it. I'm a gadget freak and when I saw this I was totally intrigued by the idea of being able to replace multiple items with one product. To be honest, I really needed a blender and blender, and combining the two in one machine (with all the other attachments!) is a dream buy (if it works). It works out. I haven't had a chance to use the pasta or grinder attachments (coming soon), but what I can tell you is that the design of the blender is really well thought out. Silicone(?) grommets are built into the bowl lid to prevent spills, keep it securely in place during use, and reduce vibration noise. The mixing bowl itself is huge and can handle very large balls of dough. Mixer size is only an issue if you're making small batches of baked goods. The mixer cannot handle the equivalent of three batches of dough due to its size. I placed mine on a sheet of plastic used for food cutting so I could move it back and forth across the counter as needed. Otherwise those grippy legs would never have allowed me to move the car. If I need to secure it so it doesn't "walk" around the counter during use, I place it on the counter rather than a plastic wrap. The blender works great and is fun. Chopper attachments come in handy when you only have 1 or 2 small things to do. It's not designed for industrial, high-speed chopping/grating/slicing, so keep that in mind if you need to get that job done. Because of this, you also can't push anything through like you would with a hand grater or a more industrial device. It's best to cut into slices or chop so finely that you don't have to force anything. Softer, wetter foods, such as apples, may require more time and careful consideration of how to cut them in order for the feeder to run more smoothly. Blender so you can pull out the bowl. Push the lever back and wait for the top of the mixer to release and lift. If it doesn't move, you may have moved the lever the wrong way or not enough, or something is in the way. Any end caps that you need to remove for the front attachments or blender attachment are tight. . They will take a while to remove easily (some use also improves their stiffness), so don't panic if you bump into them on your first attempts. Don't force it either. Take your time and it will gently burst for you. Putting them back on is no problem. And best of all, it's not loud. Some kitchen appliances make such a noise that it looks like a jet plane is landing on your roof. It's loud (it's a mixer/mixer, after all) but nowhere near the uncomfortable levels that some of my gear have had in the past. All in all, it was a purchase that was worth it. I love the design and the details they have paid attention to.
