Nice accessory

This review is for the Clover yarn trimmer suspension. Currently, the Revain page for this product also has reviews of the knitting counter and stitch markers in different sizes. I bought this item mainly as a novelty. It's not difficult to carry around a small pair of scissors to cut yarn, but this pendant looked so cool! I had my eye on it for a while before finally deciding to treat myself (mainly due to Revain's much lower price point). I bought mine in silver and it looks quite attractive. It works well, but cutting yarn with this pendant is not as accurate as using scissors. The thread doesn't fray, but it doesn't finish as neatly as when using sharp scissors. For some, this may detract from its usefulness, but since you're still weaving your goals into your work, I don't see this as a huge problem. The suspension is a bit stiff, but not annoying. My main criticism is that no chain is included. Of course I want to wear it around my neck. But I couldn't attach it to any of my silver chains because the eyelet is too small. I ended up with a thin string of yarn, but I'd prefer a metal chain (especially since it's summer and I live in California. I think the yarn will sweat quickly once it's around my neck). I also think a silver chain would go better with a pendant. The twine cord I came up with just makes it cheap.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
