DOES NOT WORK as described

I needed a good reliable gaming system so I bought an RPI4 (2GB) and installed a 1TB Samsung evo SSD. Well, first of all the NESPI4 case doesn't work the 2GB version IRPI4. I also had to buy a Kingston 960 SSD as the JMicron USB to SATA connection does not recognize the Samsung SSD. I also had to update the eeprom to 11th December 2020 on the 8GB RPI4 version before it worked. I also couldn't use any of the RetroPie stock images because they kept getting stuck on the intro screen. I'm seriously considering returning it and just buying myself a nice little bag with no headaches. I spent more than 2 days trying to get this to work before I found a solution. I like the idea and the look, but I'm not sure if it was worth all the trouble I had to go through to get it working. Good body design. I like the idea. cartridge for SSD. Maybe post a list of compatible things to use with this case. (No for RPI4 (2GB) Yes for (8GB) No for Samsung Yes for Kingston) If you decide to create another case with an SSD, do some additional testing on the components you are using to make sure that it works with most devices .

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
