Review on 🔊 Metra 82-7803 Speaker Adaptor Plate for Accord, Civic, and VW by Nick Walsh

Just replaced the front speakers on my 2004 Honda Civic. I'm not sure why Revain is telling me it doesn't fit my machine when the match chart on the Metra website shows it's the correct speaker adapter and the installation worked. There are three reasons why I deducted a star in the rating. 1. This is not a direct replacement. It is necessary to purchase self-tapping screws for mounting in the car.2. It doesn't come with instructions. I had to study the adapter to understand how I would mount the speaker to it and how I would mount the adapter to the car. There were also 2 inexplicable pins on the back of the adapter that attaches to the surface of the car door. They weren't arranged symmetrically. I cut them off because they just got in the way. I used these adapters to install BOSS AUDIO R63 Riot 6.5 inch 300W 3-way full range speakers. According to the description, it works with 5.25" or 6.5" speakers. matching my speakers. I don't know if it was the design of this adapter or because the built-in brackets on my new speakers were a little further apart than industry standards. Instead, the screws were inserted at an angle flush with the surface of the mount.
