They fit and work if you're not a mannequin.

They work great, don't listen to the idiots who say 6.5 inch speakers don't or won't fit in Honda Civic. If you can't figure it out then stop, don't do any more damage to your car.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • No insurance

Worked well in my 2001 Honda Civic

Used them in the door of my trusty 2001 Honda Civic LX and they worked great. I've read some complaints about the quality of the plastics used, but they've proven to be durable and easy to use. I would choose her again in a heartbeat.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Long wait

Didn't fit right

This product didn't fit the speaker or my 2003 Honda Accord. I personally called the gauge before purchasing to confirm it would fit. Luckily I was able to glue the adapter to the speaker and had to drill holes in the side of the car and use extra screws to screw it on and install it.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Almost never

Cheap molded plastic construction but it really works. I had to figure out which nuts and mounting bolts to use and drill holes for them (that was very difficult, it would be nice if the hardware was included or at least recommended). The problem is that I couldn't find anything better without a custom build.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Mold Optional

Fits 2003 Honda Civic LX

Not sure why the install chart says it doesn't work. All you have to do is fix the bracket to the car door with self-tapping screws. It was a perfect match for my 2003 Honda Civic LX 4-door sedan. Used these to mount Polk db651s 6.5" front speakers. 3 stars not 5 stars because they don't fit directly. Drilling required. were more powerful and last longer.

  • Cool product

There are no instructions included! They work as advertised!

Installed on a 2004 Honda Civic with 6.5" speakers. No instructions or hardware are included with the kit. There are two plastic pegs on one side of the mounting rings. These pegs fit into the bottom two mounting holes of the Factory speakers and secure the mounting ring to the door. You need to use screws to install the ring to the door. The speaker side of the ring has slotted holes to accommodate speakers of different sizes. If you use 6.5" speakers, you need to use the cut extra long…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • So far so good

They work, but there are exceptions.

Purchased for a 2001 Honda Civic LX coupe. First, check if your 6.5 inch speakers will fit. If your secondary speakers have a 6.5" flat mount, they will fit nicely in the mount as is. However if they are mounted normal deep you will need to shave/clip the edge. elongated plastic holes for installing speakers. As some others have noted, the 2 plastic pins sticking out on the door side of the bracket are meant to act as a guide as you will need to drill (3) holes with a 1/8" drill bit. Insert 2…

I'm pretty imaginative and tried to change one of the modules.

CAUTION! WILL NOT FIT 2004 HONDA CIVIC 4 DOOR SEDAN FRONT OR REAR DOOR. I'm quite creative and have attempted to modify one of the service units, but the design doesn't even come close to matching the factory holes or speakers on the Kicker DSC650, which the product description calls for. I ended up having to disassemble the factory OEM speakers and cut them down to the bottom of the frame to use as mounting clips. I also had to cut small slits in the edges of the new foosball frames to make…

  • few competitors

  • some difficulties

It works, but it's not perfect.

Just replaced the front speakers on my 2004 Honda Civic. I'm not sure why Revain is telling me it doesn't fit my machine when the match chart on the Metra website shows it's the correct speaker adapter and the installation worked. There are three reasons why I deducted a star in the rating. 1. This is not a direct replacement. It is necessary to purchase self-tapping screws for mounting in the car.2. It doesn't come with instructions. I had to study the adapter to understand how I would mount…
