TWO CARS, heavy rain, 1000 miles, COOL!

TOTAL: We have two of these. One for Honda CR-V and one for Toyota Corolla. We installed the included hinges into the door frames and MOVED over 1000 miles (in sun, rain, sleet and some snow) with all our remaining gear. AND IT WAS AMAZING! Continue reading. **Seriously, as long as you firmly attach the roof bars to the top of your car and attach the velcro straps (all included) you'll be fine. ** NOISE: was minimal or not. general. Once when we stopped I had to re-fasten one of the straps, it was a bit loose but that was about it. Seriously, I'm very happy with both carriers. And they are both dried, folded and kept for any family members who might need them. WATER RESISTANCE: They are waterproof, not waterproof. So while they do an excellent job of keeping things BASIC DRY, if you run through as much water as we do, water will definitely get in. Not a ton, but a little. So. Plan for this. Seal your contents in sealed bin liners or contractor sized bags just like we did. The problem is solved. In any case, it should be clear. ** YOU WILL NOT BUY JAMES BOND LEVEL GEAR THAT IS FULLY SUBMERSIBLE FOR THIS LOW PRICE. **. Wake up with those who haven't sealed their belongings in bags and are whining about the humidity! But rest assured, unless you get caught in the pouring rain like we did, your stuff will stay DRY. WARNING: They are thick, durable, waterproof, long lasting and reusable (if you use them properly). We don't have storage racks on our cars so this was a serious answer to prayer. After the off-road trailer took away most of our stuff, we had to stay behind with the rest of our gear to pack. You will be surprised how little that brings together! It was impossible for everything to fit in both cars, so we didn't rent a trailer (we don't have a hitch/pack on our cars) or rent the entire UHAUL to tow our remaining stuff and one of our cars with it. IT WAS A MUCH SMARTER INVESTMENT. And we can keep them for the next time we or someone else needs them. I would definitely buy them again. I wish you success.
