Initially I was working with a VGA/HDMI desktop and a VGA/Displayport (DP) laptop. The desktop used the motherboard's integrated graphics, and a DP to HDMI converter was used to power the KVM's HDMI input. My wife uses a laptop for her work and a desktop for personal use. Monitor 1 kept falling out. The duration of the monitor shutdown was so random and unpredictable. While playing, I had to press ESC to pause and wait for the monitor to come to life. My wife couldn't risk speaking from a laptop. Tesmart Technical Support was very responsive and helpful, but ultimately couldn't solve the monitor disconnecting issue. I swapped all the cables and tried switching to other output/input configurations as suggested by Tesmart but no. Help. I switched to a desktop graphics card with all digital outputs (2 HDMI/1 DP). I used an HDMI to VGA converter. The problem persisted. In the end I gave up this KVM and switched to the CKL CKL-922HUA model. So far this KVM has been reliable.
