The PCV valve has not been changed on my 2010 Pilot for over 126,000 miles. So I decided to change it and while watching YouTube videos it seemed easy to me. The packaging was great and it was in a sealed Honda bag. So I knew it was OEM. The old PCV valve was a nightmare! Half of it fell into the engine and I spent a whole day trying to get it out. I use hooks, tongs and nothing works. It was the worst feeling. I was reading some blogs and a guy screwed in a bolt and pulled it out like that. Thank god I had a screw that fit perfectly. I removed the front wiring harness for more access. I screwed in the screw and pressed it against the cylinder block with a screwdriver. This thing was so caked in the old oil and really stuck in it. The new one was very easy to install. DO NOT try to just take the old one out without being careful. The plastic on my old PCV was very brittle and broke in half. If I were you I wouldn't even risk it, just take it to the local mechanic. This saves you a headache. I drove the car and the gas mileage in the city went from 16 to 18, which is great.
