Expectations were not met, average quality.

I am disappointed with the purchase. I read laudatory reviews, bought for the D5000. I didn't like the lens. Yes, inexpensive, but Canon has such a lens a thousand cheaper. I don’t like the picture, it’s harsh and the bokeh is prickly. He didn't stick with me. But from Jupiter 37A - he wrote a month with boiling water. Although it is completely manual on my carcass, and it is difficult to sharpen it, the pleasure from the results is worth it.

Pros

Advantages? Well, they will probably be written in other comments. For me, the only advantage is its light weight and compactness.

Cons

Build quality is a piece of Chinese plastic. Two things I didn't like the most - 1. A noticeable backlash when focusing. 2. A noticeable force that needs to be applied to the aiming ring in order to move it from its place. Constantly there is a desire to lubricate this hellish lens. Unpleasant to hold. And yes . I also constantly catch unpleasant brown glare on it from the sun or lanterns.
