I'm a traditionalist when it comes to bikes but they are so good I had to buy them.
If I was going to ride long distances with flat handlebars, I would need them! With a shorter duration, they are still noticeably more comfortable than cylindrical grips. Before attaching the push handles, spray the crossbars and inside of the handles with hairspray and then refrain from using them for at least 24 hours (several days if in a cold shed). This allows the handles to slide easily, then dry out and then act like glue to keep them from spinning.
