A very attractive and useful addition to your wine cellar, cabinet or shelf. Without a doubt, well-aerated wine tastes better. Plugs for "Protection" no remaining stock, but so far my wife and I haven't found the right one. We usually have half a bottle left over from the first use and use it up over the next day or two. My daughter-in-law, PhD, never corks leftover wine either. When using this decanter, I handle it with care as I don't want to test it for brittleness and pouring out the last few ounces can be awkward. We bought this to replace a plain glass carafe that had become badly soiled from frequent washing. So far, it shows no signs of opacity.
