I've bought several of these over the years and while they last a long time they do get pretty sloppy over the course of a year as they scratch fairly easily. In addition, in addition to our guinea pig, which left it untouched, our mice and chinchillas also gnaw the edges. Although the critters seem to feel safe inside and believe they are hidden, they are easy to check since igloos are translucent; so the little ones don't have to be disturbed by opening the cage and exposing it while sleeping, etc.). This time I bought both mini and small sizes. I have included photos showing their sizes in relation to each other (blue is "small", purple which is about the width of a standard notepad sheet is "mini".
