Kenwood + Polk = Great Pontoon Boat Audio

I am very pleased with our recent audio upgrade. It's been over 20 years since I last upgraded a mobile audio system and yes, the rules have changed. I then visited 5-10 audio stores, sat in their sound rooms, turned on/off their 10 receivers before pulling a $100 bill out of my pocket. Currently? Read 100 reviews, make up your mind, plug in your system and you'll hear it for the first time when you flip the ACC switch. This time, thanks to the reviewers for getting it right. My new Kenwood Kac-M-1824BT 400W/180 RMS Bluetooth amplifier paired with four Polk DB 522 5.25" speakers was the perfect upgrade for my 22ft pontoon boat. Sound is clear, mids are crisp, bass is impressive for the speaker size.. and it all fit in without cutting anything apart from a small notch for a new control cable.. Didn't have to replace an old Clarion Marine M235 receiver , and now running through Kenwood it's an old dog with a new shoe for easy pairing with every Bluetooth device we've tried Setup couldn't be simpler Convert 4-channel speaker cables from an old receiver into RCA inputs for Kenwood and connect them to power for incoming speakers and turn them on. Will it shock the kids on the lake with the sound of a wakeboard? No, but it delivers loud, clear, sweet music at full throttle. Full upgrade, about $350! This dog will hunt! Highly recommend combo if that's what you need.
