They work. But your skills determine how well they work.

So let's start with the fact that they work. I've now smoothed out a pretty good dent in the side of my truck with it and I'd say 90-95 percent better. It's still there, but you have to catch the light directly to see it, or run your hand across it to feel it. It takes strength, it takes time. It also requires some skill and I'm sure I'll get better at it with practice. I'm glad I saw others do it. The bars can bend, and since you have to use some force, you'll probably bend them a little, like I did. You need something to squeeze. I chose wooden blocks so as not to dent or chip the paint of what I'm leaning on. It's hard to understand where exactly the end of the pole rests! It's also important to understand that hitting works better than just scouting and forcing. At least for a reason other than the paint cracking and new dents appearing that bulge. S hook, beware! They are not finished and will peel off the paint when you try to use them for their intended purpose. You need to tighten them with a file. I still probably wouldn't use them on visible surfaces. The wedge tool is larger than I expected and works like a charm.
