Review on Golden State Art 16x20 White Pre-Cut Picture Mat Pack for 11x14 🖼️ Photos - Set of 10 with Acid-Free Mats, Backing Board, and Clear Bags by Lori Aguirre

I am a wildlife and wildlife photographer who makes and sells reproductions of my work so I have recently purchased 3 separate orders of these rug sets. The first, a pack of 10 white 16x20 mats, arrived in pristine condition - they were well packaged in a specially made box that kept them in place while still providing more than enough protection, and the mats and pad themselves were clean cut. If ALL of these sets were received like this I would give 5 stars. however, this was not the case for two subsequent orders for 25 sets. The first of these two orders for 25 sets arrived with very little damage to one corner. The packaging for this larger quantity pack was not as adequate as the previous 10 pack. The box had no inner protection, so one corner was slightly damaged. Presumably caused by mishandling during shipping and therefore not entirely the seller's fault - perhaps if the package had the same internal protections as the 10 packs the problem would not have arisen and the rating would have been 5 stars again. However, my most recent order for a 25-pack was definitely an issue entirely down to the manufacturer. The support boards and mats were not square cut and did not fit as perfectly as in previous sets. Unfortunately, the problem didn't appear until I got to the 5th or 6th set. I had already assembled several kits and mounted prints in them before the problem became apparent, and the error became more and more noticeable with each additional board. After proper assembly with tape along the top edges, the bottom edge and one of the side edges did not line up exactly. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem if I was only using them on artwork I create to display in my own home as I could hide the error in the frame, but they were used on artwork I made for a upcoming arts/crafts show where I have a vendor slot (which happens to be tomorrow) and the board/mat issue is causing my finished product to degrade. If I were to frame prints using these mats/boards it wouldn't be too much of a problem but I don't frame them, these are sold as matte prints which allow my customers to choose their own frames - this makes the error noticeable to them and will therefore most likely forcing me to lower my prices to solve a problem I shouldn't be solving. If I noticed right away, and not halfway through, mounting a couple of p-drives that obviously can't be removed without damaging the prints, and had enough time to send them in for replacement, then I probably wouldn't be disappointed with the last order . golden state. I would like to buy your products again in the future as it will save me a ton of time, but if I can expect that - improper packaging, uncertainty about the quality of a particular batch of your products, and an obviously indifferent approach to quality control, which your organization seems to have If so, I guess I'll have to find another source for my rug needs.
