Review on πŸ”Œ Kessil Wireless Dongle by Joshua Albright

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Difficult to set up, difficult to stay connected, terrible UI and user experience.

Strangely, Kessil does not currently integrate Wi-Fi capabilities into its flashlights and requires the addition of this dongle to customize the programming of its flashlights. Even though I have a strong WiFi signal at home, I have to keep reconnecting this dongle to my home WiFi. The app's interface and user experience leaves a lot to be desired; I recommend Kessil meeting with customers to do more research to improve their application interfaces. Kessil really needs to upgrade all of their lights to include Wi-Fi capabilities, it's a $100 add-on that should have been built into their product from the start.

Pros
  • The Kessil Wi-Fi adapter allows you to control the Kessil A360X Tuna Blue LED Light and the Kessil A360X Tuna Sun Aquarium LED Light. The key can be used in place of the Kessil Spectral Controller X. With a free app and a smartphone, you can control multiple Kessil X-Series lights connected with a K-Link cable. Having a WiFi connection for multiple devices minimizes radio interference for a faster and more reliable connection.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
