I am preparing a 2002 Acura TL 3.2 engine and installing the timing belt, water pump, gaskets etc while it is out of the car and accessible. For the last week I've been going down to the shop regularly, spraying penetrating grease on a bolt, and then trying to loosen it with my 1/2" Milwaukee electric percussion gun and 19mm percussion socket. This isn't my first case. Removing the Honda crankshaft bolt and this has always been a nightmare. I've done everything from the absurd length of the cheat bar to the starter trick. Like everyone else I saw it here and decided if it saved me time and effort it was worth it. $25. The instrument finally arrived today, so I thought I'd give it a try, and heck why not record some more. Less than 10 seconds later the screw was loosened. Insanity. Absolute madness. I feel betrayed by the hours and hours I've spent battling these studs in the past. I can not believe that. absolutely right. I also posted a video showing this in action, hope it helps.
