Mesh fabric catches the claws of birds.
This is terrible stuff for my birdcage. My bird got caught on a nail and couldn't get it out of the thin nylon mesh. I was afraid he would panic and break his wing. Luckily this didn't happen. I couldn't return it because I was past the return date.
