I don't know about cord, I only use it around the house for non heavy tasks, just a cord to extend the range of simple small appliances like a Keurig coffee maker, hair dryer or curling iron, I don't know myself with heavy electrical appliances familiar with or use outside of premises. I just want to use certain small tools and gadgets in more convenient places than right next to an outlet. I haven't had any problems, it seems strong to me at a good price. Does not heat up during use. I would buy it again.
