Okay, first of all, I'm not going to lie. I hate long shift knobs. As. I really hate the way they look. A lot of. Nevertheless, I am very happy that it exists, because at the moment it has become much easier for me to drive a car. I used to have a weighted shift ball. I love this shop so much! However, about a week and a half ago I tore a biceps tendon in my elbow which made shifting difficult because I had to stretch my arm more than is comfortable. Decided to try one of those longer shift knobs to see if it helps. and damn it. I can keep my hand at a comfortable angle for riding, and it really does feel like shifting requires less effort now. victory in everything. Installation was easy and feels pretty solid. He doesn't move. Mine is "silver" and there is nothing special about it. It looks like a machined aluminum tube. What is good. Suitable for my purpose. Works great for what I use it for. The only questionable thing is that he says he is "weighted" and yet quite light. It's a lot lighter than my backup ball. Lighter than ballpoint pens. So. ymmv with that. In the end, if you like their looks and price, go for it. You will be happy. I'll be using mine for a few months while I'm in treatment (at least). I hope it holds up well, although I can't imagine it not.
