I brew 3-6 gallon bottles of mead about every six weeks. I bought this to fill my bottles and I figured since it was the most expensive thing I could find there was a chance that it would be for the best. First I tried to put the bottles in the boxes they came in. Big mistake! This thing leaks too much to fill anything outside of something to hold back the overflow from the vent. I can fill 2 cases of wine bottles very quickly and for the most part they are all filled fairly evenly. I fill about 9 out of 12 bottles to a good cap level, but I have to pour over the other three. I use a Tuperware container lid to put on a bottle box. After filling the case (12 bottles) about 1/2 pint of overflow remained in the cap. In between I have to wash all my bottles and empty the cap. Can't say I'm completely satisfied other than how quickly I can fill 2 boxes compared to my old way. There must be a better way. It's not like this.
