DISCLAIMER: I read the reviews before purchasing and was fully aware that I was going to be getting a 2L daypack instead of a 4L daypack . However, I like the product. I got. It took a while for the plastic taste to fade, but I found it was sufficient for most hikes I went on. This amount of water is enough for a hike of 5 to 8 miles, depending on the heat. I sometimes use it for shorter hikes and carry my water in a backpack along with my dog's water. The smaller pocket is big enough for my wallet, phone, lip balm and some granola bars. In addition to a full hydration bladder, a map and dog treats also fit in a large bag.
